Description
An Enhanced Homecare Worker provides services to consumers who require medically driven services and supports as defined by DHS and assessed by the case manager during the assessment process.
The Enhanced Homecare Worker must be certified through a certification process or training program approved by OHCC to be eligible for the enhanced hourly or live-in wage.
Application Requirements
To register and apply for the Enhanced Homecare Certification Course, a worker must:
- Have an active provider number
- Pass the Enhanced Worker Readiness Assessment with a score of 80% or higher
- Sign the participant agreement
- Possess valid current CPR/First Aid Certification
- Have a “no-show” rate of not more than 20%
- Complete the Enhanced Worker Application and agree to the following:
- Have Internet Access
- Attend all classes
- Complete out of class work
