Homecare workers, personal support workers, and personal care attendants have the opportunity to attend trainings to enhance and develop their skill set.
The Oregon Home Care Commission provides free training opportunities for in-home care providers. Trainings are offered online and throughout Oregon every month. The Commission offers a training newsletter called Elevate and it is available online and in print. The newsletter includes the trainings available during the month and when and where they will be held. The newsletter also has information about available certifications offered through the Commission and how to qualify. You can find the training newsletters at the OHCC Training and Education page.
The Commission will cover the cost of CPR and First Aid training for eligible homecare and personal support workers and personal care attendants. For more information, please visit our OHCC Certifications page.
Workers may qualify to be paid a stipend to attend the Commission’s trainings.
